The Frick Race Series is a labor of love and has been a dream of mine for awhile. As I’ve said, I’m a big believer in the series format. One-offs are cool, but a series is on another level. They’re a great way to build community and enduring friendships by committing to a particular activity and literally digging the heels in with your people.
Having something to look forward to week over week - without having to schedule in a group chat - lets you focus on the running and racing, not the coordinating.
T-Shirt Design Unveiling

Thanks to Tara Banatwala for the 2025 design!
I would greatly appreciate your support, presence and good energy at these races. There are several ways to participate:
Race - full series pass or individually. Series pass is $60 cheaper than the Pittsburgh Half Marathon. More trees, more miles and no dealing with Downtown!
Volunteer
Racer Welcome - handout bibs and shirts and process same-day registrations
Aid Station - hand out water, Gatorade and gels at halfway point of the race
Course Sweeper - pick-up all of the course markings and all the runner micro-trash (cups and wrappers). Run with a buddy!
Volunteer Sign-up
Donate (our city permit fee increased from $250 to $1,975 this year. Gotta pay for that NFL Draft, ya’ll!)
Grab tasty Oaxacan food from Lulá' La Chula then cheer, heckle or watch some slower-paced Lawn Bowling next to the Finish Line.
Support our Sponsors
Meet and Run with Trail Sisters Pittsburgh. The Frick Trail Race Series is Trail Sisters Approved thanks to the encouragement and guidance from Tara McElfresh, Hannah Obringer and Paulette Ference.

Thanks to all registrants who’ve signed-up thus far, our generous sponsors and to Lucas, Kevin and Alexis for helping with race course design. Please share this email with others interested in hanging at Frick Park on Wednesday nights this springtime!
